Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MedForge exam-management platform, website, and mobile app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

MedForge is provided to medical schools, colleges, and examination boards ("Institutions") and their authorized candidates and staff. Accounts are issued by your Institution; there is no public self-registration. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

2. Educational purpose; not medical advice

The Service is an educational assessment tool for creating, delivering, and grading examinations. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Clinical scenarios and questions are exam material and must not be relied upon for patient care.

3. Content you provide

Institutions and their examiners may upload reference material (such as PDFs), create questions and cases, and generate content using the Service's AI tools ("Institution Content"). You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to upload, store, and use any Institution Content, and that it does not infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party. You are solely responsible for Institution Content. MedForge does not review Institution Content for copyright and is not liable for it.

4. Third-party and AI-assisted content

The Service can retrieve material from third-party sources (such as PubMed and medical article databases) and can attach openly licensed images, along with their attribution. AI-generated questions, cases, and reviews are drafts produced by automated tools and must be reviewed by a qualified examiner before use. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy, appropriateness, and licensing of any content before relying on or distributing it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data; (c) circumvent exam-integrity, security, or access controls; (d) disrupt or overload the Service; or (e) use the Service to cheat on, compromise, or unfairly disclose examination content.

6. Exam integrity

To protect the integrity of assessments, the Service applies technical measures (including on-device screenshot and screen-recording protection) and may record integrity-related events during an exam, such as screenshots taken or the app being left. Candidates agree to these measures as a condition of sitting exams through the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by MedForge and its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended educational purpose. Institution Content remains owned by the Institution or its rightful owners.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. MedForge does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedForge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Suspension and termination

Your Institution controls your access and may suspend or remove your account. MedForge may suspend or terminate access to protect the Service or for violation of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
